Katrina supports a programme of Public Health research which seeks to understand and respond to global public health challenges. Her main research interests are in how we create the conditions (within schools, communities, workplaces) to support behaviour change and reduce health inequalities and how we develop and evaluate complex system based interventions. Katrina works with various stakeholders, including the NHS, Public Health England, Police and Housing Authorities and across disciplines and Colleges to deliver research which informs policy and practice. A central tenet of her research is the meaningful engagement and involvement of communities, patients and carers, clinicians and policy makers to co-create research which has the potential to deliver societal and economic impact.
